About the Project
This is Irem. First of all, I would like to tell you about myself and the purpose of starting this project.
Cartoon Art
I was introduced to the world of cartoons in the 3rd grade thanks to the cartoon club in my elementary school. Since then, I have continued to draw and participated in many competitions and exhibitions; and cartoon art has become a means of expressing myself for me. The topics I touch on in my cartoons cover a wide range of issues, such as justice in society, the education system, global warming, minority rights, problems faced by refugees, detachment from human values for the sake of capitalism, importance of unity and solidarity, gender inequality, protection of natural life, economic difficulties, sustainability, and financial hardship. Through cartoons, which is an easy-to-understand language about these global issues, I was able to make my voice heard, express myself, and most importantly, take initiatives to create awareness around me. Cartoon art has provided me with an opportunity to depict global problems that we may not want to think about, which can even be disturbing to consider, into a style and humorous language that everyone can understand, and at the same time, reach out to everyone all over the world. Thanks to my interest in this art, I am also developing as a more sensitive person towards my environment.
Climate Change and My Past Projects
Since a very young age, I have had a great sense of responsibility towards environmental issues and our planet; in the meantime, global warming has always been one of the topics that has deeply concerned me. Therefore, I decided to use my favorite hobby, cartoon art, to create a social awareness project. In fact, I first realized this project in the 6th grade by opening a booth at school, and was able to donate the income from T-shirt sales to TEMA. Given that the effects of global warming have been increasing significantly since then, I wanted to renew and improve this project to take part in the forestation efforts in our country once again. I developed the design of the T-shirts, adding new color options and making the design more understandable. Additionally, I aimed to reach a wider audience by moving the project to an online platform.
I would like to express my gratitude in advance for your contributions to my project, which will plant tens or even hundreds of trees to solve the climate crisis caused by carbon dioxide emissions and to revitalize our polluted nature. Ultimately, the key to solving the climate crisis lies in being aware and taking collective action together towards a greener future.

T-shirt production will begin after the final order acceptance date (to be announced later). T-shirt production and shipping processes are expected to take approximately 3 weeks. Necessary information will be provided when your order is on its way.
